It really depends where you live. Certainly I do not want to ride 35 miles to my job location, but I would not mind selling my house and be closer to the Silver Comet Trail (Smyrna, Ga). My commute will go down to 20 miles and I can jump on the trail without driving for 45 minutes (one way) to ride my bike. So why not ride on the streets, you may ask? Georgia drivers are not friendly at all to bikers. Your life will be at risk, a risk you do not want to take. Of coarse, there is the infamous bike trainer.
